You ARE your brand, so be yourself. Let your honesty and positive attitude shine in everything you post on your business blog so people get to know the real you.

Let Readers Get to Know You

Your blog lets readers get to know the person behind the business.

Getting to know you is the first stage towards getting to trust you.

Get personal, include photos and show part of the real person behind the business. If readers see your human side they are more likely to have a positive attitude towards you.

Let Readers Come to Like You

People need to get to like you as the second stage towards trusting you. They will like you if you show what a nice guy you are.

Including smiling pics and giving away lots of good stuff for free makes you more likable. WiiFM (What’s in it for me) is the main reason people will come to like you. The more you give away, the more people will like and love you.

Let Readers Learn to Trust You

Trust is essential before readers will even consider buying your services.

Helpful  blog posts build trust. They establish you as an expert source and establish your company as one of the top dogs in your industry.

You can never give away too much, because every time you give your blog readers more helpful info, it builds trust. Sharing your specialist knowledge shows that you know so much that you have nothing to fear by giving some of it away for free.

You and Your Brand

It might be tempting to think of your brand as just being your logo, but that is only a tiny part of it.

Your brand is the total experience that people have when they interact with your business:

  • How much people feel they know you
  • How much people like you
  • How much trust you have built up
  • How helpful you are
  • Staff attitudes
  • The time taken to answer emails
  • The on-hold music they have to listen to
  • Your logo
  • Your website appearance
  • Your website content
  • Your social media activity

Use your blog to talk to customers and to develop trust by showing off your business and staff.
